Hi, I'm Daisy.
I am a product designer and a researcher based in Los Angeles/San Fransisco, California.
I graduated of University of California, Berkeley Master of Design (MDes) program. Prior to Berkeley, I studied at NYU Shanghai's Interactive Media Arts program.
As a designer, I explore how can technology be designed to facilitate communication and collaboration. I also practice design in making social impacts, including the issue of education, sustainability, and people with special needs.
Outside work,
I write about design and tech.
I share my thoughts on designing spatial experience in VR/MR, AI and UX with the community on Medium, receiving 400+ claps.
I am a photographer.
My photos on Unsplash community reached 2,600,000+ views and 13,000+ downloads, and also used by people from Figma, Notion, etc.
⬇️Below are two of my popular photos!

I enjoy building narratives using audio, video, and VR.
I've tried using spatial audio to make a podcast episode (in Mandarin) to "take a walk" inside the brain.
I made a VR film for my undergrad thesis using volumetric filming to speculate the future of communication - before "metaverse" became a buzzword.
➡️Me watching the VR film I made and performed (yeah it's kind of meta)
I’ve also made a film within 48 hours with a team of 5 (from filming to editing, all by ourselves!) and won the best screenplay award in a film marathon.
